The original building which was built in 1934 had a life size image of a man pushing a wheelbarrow, situated on the top of the building. After the devastating fire in 1958 the only thing salvaged from the burnt remains was the wheel form the wheelbarrow. This wheel was turned into a neon light and when the hall was rebuilt in 1960 it was placed on the ceiling of the main stairway in the foyer, it has been there ever since. So if you’ve not spotted it before, keep your eyes peeled when you next visit.
